From I served in the US Navy as an Electronics Technician Communication 2nd Class ETN2.  I maintained all ship based radio and crypto equipment as well as Electronics Warfare equipment on the USS Duncan DDR-874 & the USS Ranger CVA-61.  I served as ship's company on the USS Duncan from May 1970 until decommissioning in January 1971.  I then transferred to the USS Ranger until my Honorable Discharge in October 1974.   

 

While in the navy I attended several schools for a total of 96 weeks.

I made one West Pac deployment to Viet Nam on the USS Duncan In 1970, and 3 West Pack Deployments to Viet Nam on the USS Ranger. I was discharged on my return from our last deployment on October 18, 1974.

I held a Top Secret Crypto Clearance.

 

My duties on the USS Duncan were the repair and maintenance of all ship board radios and electronic warfare equipment.  My duties on the USS Ranger were the same and included crypto equipment. In addition I was responsible for the supervising all of the Main Communication and UHF Communication repairs.
