A technical turn around "ITIL v3" certified IT Leader helping companies that need to improve their IT department & infrastructure
For the last seven years I enjoyed the opportunity as the Computer Operations Manager (IT Director) for Minnesota Wire and Cable Company a midsized manufacturing company that needed to improve their IT infrastructure & department.
I was able to accomplish this task at MN Wire because I am quickly able to look at the total IT picture and see where the improvements are needed. Communicate what and why those changes or improvements are needed to upper management in technical or non-technical terms. I am then able to lead the team that makes those changes while improving the stability and robustness of the system. Continuing to supplying the correct information, to the correct people, who need it, when they need it, where they need it, in a safe, secure, and reliable manner
I was responsible for all areas of IT from help desk, to servers & network, to applications, to security, to vendor management, & IT related procurements. As well as defining all IT related policies & procedures.
I am looking for another opportunity to help another company lead their IT department while preparing it for continued growth and improvements in both efficiency and reliability.
A versatile, adaptable leader with extensive global management experience, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and lead at a technical and non-technical level. I am a manager with extensive experience in management of computer systems.
I have globally managed both hardware and software engineers in the areas of: System, Network, Application, Data Base, Field Service, Desk Top and Help Desk. I have established and/or managed field service and system engineering departments.
